FAQ

Do you even have a life?

Nope. I am a loser with too much free time.

Why does the front page not show a whole lot of the posts?

Short answer: bug in Blogger's default themes. Long answer: The more pictures I add to blogposts, the more it affects the number of shown posts before you click on MORE POSTS. I've Googled for answers and all come to same conclusion that it's a bug in Blogger. I am looking into either looking into customizing my own so I don't rely on their themes or into just moving to another platform altogether. I've noticed Blogger is not exactly held in high regard compared to other platforms.

What made you decide to create a blog for recaps?

Seems like a fun idea to do and helps me from burnout from my Horrortized blog. Part of me is even starting to prefer this one.

Secondary reason is because I remember a long time ago (as in early 2000s pre mainstream internet days) I used to watch a particular show that for some strange reason, had a random change in schedule and ended up not airing the finale on the regular time or day I originally thought (and no, I never watched the channel otherwise for the potential promo change) Mofo's didn't even air reruns, it was on ABC, shocker. I was able to eventually catch a full episode recap off a random blog post after searching on Google YEARS after the fact.  As I was looking back at that memory earlier this year that's when it hit me: Why don't I do the same? What if someone who doesn't have the ability to watch (show of choice right here) have a simple alternative? Nowadays, There's a lot of shows that are only available behind ONE streaming service so this would be like a cool loop hole, huh? I see plenty of blogs, articles and youtube videos posting spoilers/recaps so if they do it then why can't I?

How many people post on this blog?

Just one. Moi! Would be cool to get some people on board but nah. No compensation is involved whatsoever so I doubt anyone would want to anyway.

What makes you want to recap a particular show?

Some of the shows I have already seen and loved (Tales from the Crypt) and others I am tuning in for the first time (Hellbound) So this is a kind of watch-a-long with me. I am not always great at remembering things. I also make typos that I may not catch right away. Maybe because I am getting older but sometimes I even struggle to correctly spell words than I never previously had trouble with. Weird.

When you do post tv recaps?

All posts are scheduled for 5am EDT UTC-4. Refer to my schedule for weekly updates. I mainly do Monday,Wednesday and Friday posts but it may change in the future so it's best to check the schedule on a regular basis. A weekly reboot of the reschedule usually occurs on a Friday if you want a sneak peak.

Will you ever recap Stranger Things?

No.

Do you take requests?

Strongly considering it the more as time goes on. I would like to launch a Tip Jar in the near future for this reason or to "bump" up certain posts but it's not currently available in my state yet. Even then, this blog doesn't have consistent views meaning I'll to have to wait and see if this blog gains traction. I purposely don't actively go out of my way to promote this blog because I'm curious if people still end up stumbling upon it organically. Stupid, I know.

How come you type so cringy?

You know, I'll look back in the not so distant past and reread my posts to edit for clarity and notice sometimes I'll be postin' some out of date slang during these recaps. All I can say is that's just my immature sense of humor and can vary by day. So maybe I do say a "yeet" and "totes" too many times, what of it? Sometimes I'll end up taking it out of my posts and sometimes I'll leave it in. Depends in what mood I am in during revision. You never know, maybe one day I'll enter in some random IRL character development and tell ya it was just a phrase, mom.

How long does it take you to recap an episode?

Depends. Some shows are 30 mins and others are 45+ mins. Sometimes I type as I watchalong and do a fuck ton of pausing/rewinding. Depends how invested in the show I am. I find myself sometimes rewinding the same scene multiple times to truly grasp what the fuck I just saw. Some days are easier than others, ya know? So probably around 2ish hours to create a post from scratch. Sometimes more.

Why do you keep starting a new TV show before finishing others?

I find myself getting burned out of a particular show very quickly if that is all I focus on; doesn't mean I have no interest anymore just that I require a cool down period. Goes for a lot of things so it's easier for me to divide and conquer. I'll finish them all eventually especially with my 31 Episodes in 31 Days of October where I'll post daily, I will for sure finish a few series by then. Also, keep in mind, some shows/mini series have as little as 3-6 episodes and spreading it out makes sense.

Why are you not covering Stranger Things?

I used to like love show a lot but the annoying fan base and obnoxious shipping of characters really ruined my love for the show. Silly to blame the fandom for it but it's true. I've seen how rabid and malicious fans have been to even the actors, Millie Bobbie Brown in particular (even though I don't particularly like her, she absolutely does not deserve the hate she gets). I remember even loving "Running Up That Hill" way before it appeared on the show. MY 2013 BLOGPOST FOR PROOF and everyone and their mother over playing this song to death is another reason for my disdain. Hype died down a lot currently though. I'll honestly still watch the final season but I doubt I would make posts about it. Never say never though.

Will you ever post MORE than 3 times a week?

Now I'm starting to get in the groove of this blog and posting regularly, I'm finding that's there's just too many good shows out there where 3 episodes a week aren't enough! If I didn't have my movie blog, then I probably would do this like full time! Alas, I do like my movie blog since I started that one first anyway. I might post a bonus post randomly here and there depending on my schedule. Other than that, stay tuned because I am actively planning to do my 31 Days of Horror TV Episodes come October 2024.

WTF is this 31 Days of Horror TV Episodes you speak of?

As mentioned earlier, I schedule posts in advance. If this all goes to plan, I'll have enough surplus posts to fulfill posting every single freaking day in October. I see so many do these 31 Horror type lists for October every year so this makes perfect sense to include a horror themed TV episode post for every day in October.

How come you aren't covering (random scary show)?

Either I don't like it (see above) or I am unable to access a subtitled version of it or I don't have access to that streaming service it's exclusively on. I've actually came across quite a few of tv shows on my radar that are available but have no English subtitles. For example there is an Indian TV series called Woh that is an adaptation of Stephen King's It. It's on YouTube but as far as I can tell, no English subtitles.

How about anime?

Are you kidding me? I LOVE anime. There's quite a bit of anime coming to mind that would totally fit this blog too! So keep an eye out for some horror anime on here eventually if not already.

How do you get the screenshots for the posts?

I am not that tech savvy do I just watch on TV and snap from my phone and crop. My pictures are usually not the best quality but that's something you will have to learn to accept with this blog until I can find a better avenue.

How did you do the GIFS?

I use the gif maker built in my android phone and try to be steady when recording. Sometimes I'll snag it off Google too. Don't count on seeing GIF's often in my posts though. That was on my old phone. My new phone doesn't have Gif Maker :(

WTF is with these lame photo edits?

I agree, these are stupid ass edits. Maybe one day I'll get an upgrade in creativity and come up with something better in the future.

Do you have any socials you can be reached at? Email?

At this time no. Social media can be such a headache to maintain. I might create IG eventually, an email or maybe a comment section if anyone would like one on here. Blog views around here fluctuates frequently (plus Blogger is a pain to prevent counting your own views on a permanent basis). Not sure if I see a need to have any contact information here just yet.

Will you ever put ads on this blog?

As of now, nah. It's a past time activity where I choose to volunteer my time and sanity. Might launch a Buy Me A Coffee in the future for tips. I'll let this blog brew for a few months.

No one reads your stupid blog.

I know.
