Episode 3 "Tether"

As they get back into town, Boyd further inspects his arm for more of the worm thingys and for the time being, nah. He then heads back to Ellis where he explains what happened. His being pretty damn aggressive with a mixture of disbelief and confusion to his wackadoo story of trees that can do teleportation and shit.

Being his father he asks what REALLY is up with Ellis. Ellis explains that Fatima was always this strong woman but after last time it was like he saw that strong quality in her slip away. He tries to cheer him up saying he's her rock blah blah blah. So it looks like they are back on good terms again. For the time being, anyway.

With most of everyone back in town. Tabitha, Julie and Ethan are at Jim's bedside happy to have him out. Kristie fucks off the second she sees her fiance waltz in the clinic.

Donna and Randall continue their disagreements and in pops out Boyd with his marvelous return and talks rage dude down. I love Boyd I really don't want that dude to die!! :(

Tabitha and the kids are in the diner. All Ethan cares about is his puppet, Norman and he hopes to get him back. Tabitha asks to speak with Tian-Chen in the back. Oh? Whatever for? Nothing much but supplies but this morphs into Tian-Chen inviting her to stay at her house.

Kenny and Ellis are in the forest looking for more supplies but finds the woman half of the couple from the night before nailed to a tree. SHE GASPED! Holy shit she is still alive.

Victor returns to his room and sees his room exactly the way Jade left it, that fucking asshole. After he learns it was him he comes hurling towards his door and bangs hard at it. Turns out he stole his violin. Ah, didn't know that jerk off can play?! Well Jade is a hard person to like and Victor has a hard time liking people so guess how well that turned out?

Kristi still tries to talk it out with Marielle but it's obviously going nowhere. In fact, she would rather stay somewhere else until her mind is no longer wack. This talk of course gets interrupted by Kenny who needs Kristi's help ASAP.

Ellis is talking to the woman while she explains what happened last night. After her boyfriend opened the door, that was when 2 of the monsters dragged them outside but before any further details is when help arrives.

Back at the clinic, Jim still being battered and bruised manages to step up on the chair and attempt to tinker with the EXIT sign when a sweet old lady walks in asking for Kristi (She was the carefree lady dancing in the rain when they first got here). He asks her what the bus' originally destination and she replies back they were on their way to a racetrack. Marielle overhears Jim's stumble and assists.

Over at Colony House is where Fatima and Elgen has a chat in which he asks where there is water. How does he know? Well, that was in the dream he had that she caught wind of. She doesn't seem to take stuff like that seriously as she says a few people have shared similar premonitions and experiences as she recalls one woman named Nadia who said this place is "calling to us but only some of us will hear it." It totes piques his interest and inquires further. She explains that since people are obsessed with shit like that despite their best effort to pick things apart the only conclusion they can really come to is that they  just stuck in this god forsaken town.

So Kristi comes to the conclusion that it's useless to attempt an operation. The guys don't want to leave her but Kristie? No, she doesn't want to take a gun and put her out of her misery but uhhh they are in a bit of predictament.

Tabitha and Julie are out getting clothes when all of a sudden Tabitha sees a strange image of these children of the corn. She tries to downplay it but Julie a little too assertive and demands to know what is up with her and to STOP tell her she's fine. She reveals that she did see something but it wasn't the first time it's happened. First was related to the late passing of her child, Thomas but this time was different. Not sure if it was good this time but different.

Boyd visits his wife again to discuss the things he witnessed surrounding Martin. Great way to get all his frustration out.

So this woman pinned to the tree knows she is going to die so for her last wish is for them to transcribe a note intended for her mother. Very sad and sweet but in the middle of the letter, she starts to writhe in pain but I guess Boyd ain't too far away as he strolls on in. He immediately sees the girl and tells everyone to get home because he knows what he has to do. They refuse to leave so he just gets to it and just yanks out the metal bar out of the poor girl. She has blood curdling screams and her whole body just goes...limp.

Ellis goes to find Fatima in the diner and says hey, let's just get married! Ermagerd.

Tabitha finds Ethan playing with some blocks but holy fuck it resembles the blocks she saw underground with Victor and she freaks the fuck out and gets Ethan inside as she sees the little girls again.

Boyd finds Donna in the greenhouse in utter bewilderment about what he just went through. The fate of poor Kelly being pinned to a tree by monsters who forced her to watch her boyfriend Brian being slaughtered to death. He believes this is a direct connection to him. He recalls a memory when one of his fellow soldiers get sliced up in a similar fashion and his name? Brian Kelly  so what the fuck?

Kenny is seen going through the old church trying to see what's there but then he hears a disturbance in the basement. As he descends down there, he finds none other than dear 'ol Sara.
