Previously on Diablero
Now: Episode 3 "Tears of the Devil"
Lupe and Punk Rock Bella are grieving when the body of dead Goth Grimes is brought to them. They say their apologies but all Lupe says is to be left alone with they all grieve her death.
Another change of scenery where Wences is shown being locked up and is shooketh when he is retrieved yet again. Cardinal Morelo is telling...idk someone via letter, that they are able to control demons. That is exactly what they are using poor Wences for. Compelling him to be possessed yet again.
Elvis, Keta, Ventura and Nancy return to Indio's bar to hopefully solicit some help on how to kill a "demonic principality" but no one seems to know. Only one who knew was Benito and he is dedz. One eventually pipes up with "isitia". Ventura asking WTF is "isitia" Bro, I'm wondering, too! Keta knows that the key to this is through Surileidi who says she is the only one can aid in their quest and Isaac is going to fucking help them whether he lkes it or not.
Before they all depart, the man who gave them the idea gives Elvis a heed of warning that they messing with some strong shit. "The beings of light never left and they're where you least expect them to be." So take care.
Nancy and Ventura follow Indio in the back. He reluctantly helps. Nancy hands him the bone as Isaac explains to her that she is his distant relatives and apparently had a good rapport with Keta.
So off he goes as a favor to his beloved Keta. He excuses himself to a room out of sight. They hear demonic noises and out she comes...
OMG Nancy's face is just sooo LMFAO. So yes, she has temporarily taken possession of Isaac as she speaks through him.
Anyway, all 3 sit in his officer where Nancy shows her the bones. Not something she can give immediately answers to so she tells them to have a beer and relax until she is able to thoroughly do a vibe check on these bones.
Cardinal Morelo is still going over his letter or speech when a man whom Morelo refers as Altamirano. He personally arrived so that he can expeditite this process. He is a younger man that Cardinal but he now seems to have a high authority. He has his goons come in and put a bag over his head and suffocates him to death!!! Oh noes.
Nancy and Ventura are still chillin' while Pauline is hitting on him lol. After she leaves Ventura asks why she thinks the monster only killed Rosita and not her? Who knows?Could be her demonic connection or something. However Ms. Isaac is ready to share her assessment. She notices that all the bones have a high dosage of drugs, LDD in particular AKA Tears of the Devil. Ventura asks to find the drug but it is very exclusive Thalia says it must've been made by a diablera.
Elvia and Keta arrive at a cemetary because they got exumation on the brain. Papa Benito, of course! He's the only source to know how to kill it so they both do an incantion to reanimate his corpse which is over 1 year post mortem. That's what isitia is. Ewwwww he looks cray cray. As soon as he gets reanimated he curses the fuck out of them for doing incantation of the body and not the SPIRIT!!! Dummies! They don't have a whole lot of time but Benito is spewing of lot of his quick witted funny curses at them for one reason or another. He even bitches at Elvis to continuing to wear his jacket.
Anyway, he gives them some clues and Keta excuses herself to see what she can conjure up. If Benito still had brains they would be FUMING! Even in death he is still against his precious Keta being a Diablera. Elvis tells him to STFU but the second he touches him, Dead Benito feels bad juju stemming from his deal in Limbo. He reprimands him even further saying he is just as dead as he is.
Welp, as his timing is coming to a close, yet again, he slinks back n his coffin but not without the parting words that his jacket totally looks better on him anyway.
Everyone reunited back at Lupe to give her the updates/ Nancy questions Lupe about the drug and dang.
Before we can get answers, scene changes back to Wences being held against his will where Altamirano being the new baddy of this series gets the nod of approval for him to do more tests. Poor Wences!!! He is being strapped to wires and a mask, similar to El Indio did with his cage fights when fighters had the gas masks to summon demons except it is now angels.
Speaking of El Indio, now that he is back to his normal self post Aunt Suri, he chats with his 2 daughters discussing the aforementioned drug. This seems to intrigue him and wants to reverse engineer it so he commands his daughters to firsrtly get a hold of this drug and go from there.
Lupe brings everyone down to the bottom lair where this TDD drug is synthesized and reveals that the Tears of the Demon is exactly what it is made out of. For once, this is NOT a figure of speech or play on words..it's LIT. ER. AL.
Elvis and the gang are led where they see women chemists doing varying tasks. Lupe says that the corpses that the chemists extract from are from corpses the victim's next of kin never claimed.
Keta guesses right when she said that they take dead corpses in which Lupe casts an incantation to invoke a demon to possess an already dead corpse. She even gives him a live show to see how TF it is done.
While Punk Rock Bella Thorn whips out the syringe to extract the "tear" Ventura retches the heck up but it's not because of the post mortem demon possession. He's getting flashed of his ANGEL!! Turns out that Wences being invoked and his angel is now trying to speak to Ventura through Wences!!! Holy shit this is wild!
Altamirano gets face to face with Wences when he sees him convulsing and starts speaking in an undecipherable ancient language. However, he knows something is up and figures quickly that he is communication a distress signal so he makes the goons cut off the connection.
Ventura restores back to normality and tells them cryptic stuff that was being relayed to him. Same shit that they must protect a white key and something about a door. Not much information further as per usual. Ventura pleads Elvis for help because he knows it is a matter of time before his angel succumbs. Nancy notices he is burning up and rushes him home so he can have a nice ice bath.
Lupe beckons Keta to stay behind because they need to talk. She pulls back her hair and shows her the mark on the back of her neck which just so happens to be the exact same mark that Mayaken has!! Dun dun DUNN!!!
On the drive back home starts hackin up a lung, which I suppose is foreshadowing of the Limbo deal. Dang, bro.
Isaac has this nerdy chemist out and set to try to recreate TDD but both of his daughters are not exactly being supportive. The first batch comes out and who is the first guinea pig? Definitely not Thalia nor Pauline. Fuck it, Isaac will take the plunge. Dude going cray cray.
With Ventura back at the house, his only concern is his daughter. He doesn't want her to see him like this. Luckily, she won't be home for another 2 hours. They hear a knock so Elvis excuses himself to get it as he says it is for him.
He's keeping this shit to himself but yeah it's a doctor who makes a house call as Elvis is concerned about his black mark on his chest. A woman doctor inspects him and damn. It's necrosis (dead tissue) and it seems to be growing bigger. In a split second he gets a hallucinationi and the doctor lady now looks like the demon from Limbo dangling his impending soul snatching ass taunting him.
Lupe makes a toast with Keta to celebrate a prophecy. What prophecy? That's exactly what Keta asked. So Lupe leads her into another section of the room where she pulls the curtain to reveal a painting of a child that is the bearer of the white key that will in turn cause the angels to come back. Where good will win over evil. Keta is a little slow for the implication but Mayaken is that person in the prophecy. That was exactly what Elvis was referring to in 1st season when he made that incantation when he said he wanted "an angel" which made Keta pregnant like Virgin Mary (Keta ain't a virgin but you know what I mean). Mayaken IS the white key.
Now that we mention Mayaken, he looks in the mirror and sees wings sprouting on his back. there is another man with glasses named Alejandro who aids him but holy crap without warning, Mayaken faints. He is taken to another section of the house and placed on a hospital bed.
Altamirano is at his bed side who chats with Alejandro. He says that there is a battle inside him due to the TDD in his blood that accellerated the process. DRUGS?!?! He tasks him to get more of this known exlusive drug to finish the process.
