Now: Episode 8 "It B Over" THE SERIES FINALE

Tiffany is by Juniper's truck asking what the devil she is doing. She is attempting to send out a distress signal but his contact is not responding. Tiff is all nerding out over this information that's coming out of her mouth that the signals being broadcasted through her walkie talkie are ones that Old Watch are not able to eavesdrop on. Tiff is right to be happy hearing that shit because she has something that can come in handy.

HER OWN WALKIE TALKIE!

Remember back in first episode when Tiff left Erin hold on to one of her walkie's THAT was exactly why Heck and Naldo ambushed Erin to take her walkie: to communicate with STF Underground. If what she is saying is true (and it is) then Juniper can use Tiff's walkie and attempt to send a signal to the 2nd walkie now in Heck and Naldo's possession.

To everyone's glee, she is able to get a response from them! The girls in particular as elated as fuck. However, when Juniper tries to follow that up with how to help them, the girls start giving each other weird looks?

Why? because they have heard that before. They hear Mac's voice responding (thinking they were the bullies) the scene from 1st episode. Everyone's dreams come crashing back down when they realized this is loop. They were doomed from the start because this confirms that the events that happen now already happened in Episode 1. Timey wimey wibbly wobbly. Raver Tiff says it's a time loop, events in the future triggered events in the past in the predestination loopity loop. Mac runs off in a huff knowing her future. Larry is like awwww shit Old Watch is here now.

KJ goes after Mac who goes in the barn. Mac proceeds to place her hand on KJ's hand resting on a pole and thanks her for being her. KJ makes an interesting facial expression that I don't think Mac knows about yet and in her own tough reconciliation, she pulls her hand back. In both being in a state of all kinds of WTFery Mac goes inside the house slamming the door and curses.

Oops, Larry's ma is in the house and giggling like a little school girl. Mac immediately apologizes for her behavior but it gets short lived when Prioress comes walking in with COOKIES! Mmmmm forbidden cookies.

Larry is just outside looking sorrowful at his silo. Erin comes running up to him that they all need to GTFO. He doesn't feel like he needs to go because his ma...he actually refers as meemaw however the fuck you spell it.

KJ runs into the house to apologize and also comes face to face with Prioress who says her full name. Well, she didn't say what her initials stand for so boo on that. Mac then says to her that all she wants to do is send them back to their correct timeline and tells her the exact date they time travelled, against KJ's wishes. Oh yeah and that entails of their memories being wiped but I'm sure you already knew that shit though.

Prioress escorts them to the barn where they meet Grand Father for the first time. He is seen jamming out to "Bad Medicine" by Bon Jovi via Dylan's walkman. He gets all quirky and shit with them to ease their tension. He says that despite them totally wrecking the Stony Stream timeline, it can easily be fixable. He's basically just reiterating what Prioress has said.

Outside, Tiff and Erin see a Pterodactly looking mofo flying across the sky. Before they can really react, Raver Tiff comes bolting with her car telling them to get in the car to escape this madness.

Grand Father confirms with Mac who the walkman originally belonged to and he proceeds to use this as a grand metaphor for their current situation. He goes on to explain that if you were to record a different track over the current track the original recording gets more and more degraded over time. So STF Underground thinking that they can rerecord the mixtape of time itself is bettering everyone's future, it is in fact counter productive. That's just in the simplest of terms I can personally say. I'm sure it's more complicated than that. And if that process continues to happen over and over again the tape itself self destructs. The end of the universe.

Mac is actually on board with all of this. KJ doesn't say a damn thing. Regardless, he leads both girls outside and it more than happy to finally get things moving along. This is when they see their first glimpse of the flying dino.

Raver Tiff is literally begging the girls get in the car because she doesn't want to go back to her meager existence. Tiff has a bright idea to take the notebook with this message on the back of it. Just a little bit of inspo. She steps out of the car to call out for the girls but she ends up getting beamed towards the sky in some kind of suspended animation, part of Grand Father's ablution of whatever is getting the ball rolling. Juniper also gets in suspended animation.

KJ speaks up her grievances to Grand Father which in turn makes Mac change her mind.

Larry comes out with his shot gun in an effort to save the girls. Now with the attention towards him, the girls run off to join Tiff and Erin while he tries to reason with Larry. Now that Larry knows his fate, he wants to actually do what's right, defending those girls. He gives him one last shot but nah. At the snap of his fingers, The dinosaur then gobbles up Larry hole.

Terrified, all 4 of the girls run into the basement. The very basement Larry originally put them in when he met Adult Erin. Mac decides to come click and discloses her cancer to Tiff and Erin. Erin is like "Wut?! You told me you grow up to be a veternatian!" Oh well.

The dinosaur does a mad stomp in which Prioress says to come out because she can do this the easy way or the hard way. Either way, it's happening.

All 4 girls step out in solidarity and arrive at their freaky headquarters in the far, far, meticulous future. They are held in a waiting room discussing their potential futures of not remembering each other.

Prioress enters the room and commands Tiff is the first to go.  The rest of the girls protest her going all alone and Prioress goes like "Jesus fuck, you bickering babies all you can come with me then!" On the long walk over to the pods, she enlightens them that she was actually around their age when she first got recruited. In fact, the reason why STF Underground was even formed to begin with was in light of new information that Tiff's future self will be part of.

Tiff replies "Ah, yes, the Quilken Institute"

She continues to lead the girls into this hella cool futuristic room. Saying it is humongous is an understatement. Trust be had, Prioress is actually offering them a chance to save sicky Mac. How? Well....

With a few clicks and clacks of the control panel she activates a folding. You know, since she comes from a technologically advanced time and all. See? She isn't the real villain in all of this. She confides in them that she didn't exactly willingly chose to be in this war but having to watch the disasterous fallouts happen time and time again she believes Tiff is the key to making sure this shit can never happen again. She wants to send her in the future to tell Future Institute Tiff what she has witnessed.

In the middle of her explanation, a guard walks in the room. She points the gun at him and tells him to sit his ass down. Erin proceeds to ask if she can prevent her adult self from dying in particular in robot right. Prioress is honest and says while she can't say for certain however, the future is what we make it.

Alarms start to go off and she tells them to hurry and get in the time travel pod. Another worker comes in after detecting the girls were no longer in the waiting room. More guards show up which causes a mega futuristic fight with guns blazing. There is a countdown of 2 minutes left. KJ goes to her saying she is sorry. I'm assuming she meant about killing her brother. The only surviving guard shoots her in the back and she flops to the ground.

The guard then tries to unfuck with the settings but a barely alive Prioress shoots him dead. This is when Erin comes across the vial of purple stuff only previously seen in 1st episode where it heals wounds (when Mac originally shot Erin, remember?) So she uses this and runs towards Prioress to heal her like it once did the same for her.

All the girls are yelling as time is ticking down. Tiff steps out to help Erin hurry her ass up but right when they read the pod, it seals shut.

Erin, Tiff, Mac and KJ try with all their might to open but it is too late. Once they realize there is nothing they can do, all they can do is say their goodbye in the only way they can. All girls tearfully, watch as the other 2 girls fade away from each other's vision.

Prioress having a little bit more wiggle room does her best to arrange on the control panel to set up the next pod for Tiff and Erin. Grand Father amongst a plethora of guards are not too far off in the distance. She eventually manages to successfully they the last 2 girls off in their pods.

Grand Father marches right up to the pod and stars daggers at them through window nearly nose to nose. The guards are unable to stop the pod in time and Tiff and Erin successfully go into the folding.

A frustrated Grand Father demands to know where she sent them to. She replies back that this is the only way there can truly be peace. He didn't even know Tiff is going to grow up to be THE Dr. Quilken. He calmly picks up the vial that Erin used to restore her wounds. and with a little twist, it is now doing the reverse effect. The robot flies or whatever the fuck it is called starts retracting from Prioress and back in the vial which she ultimately succumbs to her fatal wounds.

Erin and Tiff come out of their pods and wonder where all the flying car b at?! As they venture future. They see a not so futuristic scene after all. There is a drive-in playing a movie and David Bowie's 'Golden Years" is playing, concluding our series.

No on screen Mac and KJ was shown.

I have the unfortunate news to say that this is the series finale as we know it because those Amazon fuckers did NOT renew Paper Girls for another season. As of yet, this show has not been successfully shopped to other streaming services neither. Read the comics if you want to know the real conclusion to the series.
