Now: Episode 4 "Beautiful Moment"

"Straws were drawn all around to figure out who'd be eaten, Ahoy!, Ahoy!

Fate selected the youngest the shipboy, who started crying, Ahoy! Ahoy!"

-Louis-Francois Nicolaie

Emma is currently in the hospital sitting on the floor sobbing when in comes Sebastien. The first thing she manages to get out of her mouth is that she is sorry for what happened and that she screws everything up. He assures her it is okay but tries to get herself together to prep for her mother's funeral. Camille is on one side and her recently found father on the other. She has no choice but to leave them but only for this moment.

The remaining all grown up shipwreck kids meet in the other Aurore's home and have a drink together. Emma still reeling from her mother's murder having to witness her bloodied body everywhere, can't manage to function and just sits there idly staring into the voice. Her friends try their best to cheer her up with a big group hug. Which works.

Looks like they are all continuing hanging out over there and even share a meal. Emma excuses herself to the restroom when she is spooked by a reminder from Marianne. A fogged up mirror with the message "Write" but in french because this is totally a french language show.

Inspector Ronan knocks on the door urgently requesting Emma's assistance as in light of new evidence has "evolved". He informs her that Mrs. Daugeron was apprehended for the murder of her mother but requests to only speak with her. She did leave a message for her in hopes of persuading her to come.

Inspector goes through his notes and relays the message and Daugeron claims she is no longer possessed by Marianne but she was taken something from her. As you know, Marianne never leaves empty handed. Her eyes. Marianne took her eyes. Holy shit.

She ends up going because plot points and Mrs. Daugeron actually legit looks like a normal lady now but just traumatized from what she went through. She claimed that she took her by the sea. Quick flash of her memory.

She also shouts out Phillip. She asks for Inspector Ronan to make sure she finds Phllip. Who dat? IDK but let's keep going. Going on to tell Emma that Marianne existed for a long ass time before even Emma was born but thanks to her, she is now back. They are linked in some way unknown to any of them. Despite no longer possessing her, she is still her. And she wants her to continue writing or else she will turn everything into her worst nightmare and she quietly sobs.

Inspector and Emma get back in the car where they now agreed to work together. Can you believe that? This dude believes in this shit? Well, they shake hands to work together to see where Marianne is next but for the time being, Inspector gives her a sterm instruction: DO NOT WRITE. Resist the temptation and during which, he will put his investigative skills to work and try to track her down.

Well, alright, alright, alright.

Another graphic appears: Chapter 7 "Inspector's Day"

Inspector Ronan with 2 police in tow they bust on in Daugeron's house and beat down a door that was previously locked. Remember when Camille and Emma got the heebie jeebies from that one door when they broke in? Yeah, that one. They make a series of startling discoveries. First off, it stank. There is a man in a chair that looks catatonic. The ceiling is just strewn all over with cursed bags hanging from the from it. Ronan proceeds to cut some of the bloody bags...and then DUDE IN CHAIR MAKES NOISES! Only his eyes can be seen darting but it looks like he can't even move or speak. As Inspector keeps cutting the bags, the chair dude all of a sudden goes limp noodle.

He returns to that antique shop but this time, the guy is instantly repelled by him and even locks up shop even quicker when he sees his near approaching. Upon inquiring for more help, the shop keeper says that even since he went into his store, he has had nothing but bad luck in his life.

Not listening, he just tosses him a folder of shit (collected from the room) and asks the origins of it. Surprisingly he does flip through it real quick and says it's a forbidden language. So forbidden, it doesn't even have a name since it's an insult to god himself. A cursed tongue that only local witches used once upon a time and not much info can be made further on it.

Oh, and also the recurring symbol! The shopkeeper tells him that this sign is more of an emblem and it's bad juju. Nothing good ever comes from it and avoid obeying it at all costs. The only power over it is knowing its name. Very Rumplestiltskin-y eh?

His next stop is venturing to the church which seems to spook the fuck out of the priest. Why? Your guess is as good as mine but keep in mind this dude came walking in with a shovel in hand so yeah. The Molitor Report is what he's referring to in order to get some info from the witch trials to aid in his mystery quest. Well huh, he already has the book and the priest is like YOU SHALL NOT PASS. But he does.

Once more, he goes to the Antique shopkeeper in the middle of the motherfucking night and asks for one last favor. The book. The shopkeeper also says to him that by the way that emblem thingy? It's actually linked to the demon king Beleth. No bueno. And if he thinks he's going to do when he thinks is going to do, then this will totally be their last meeting. They hug it out and Inspector walks off in the night.

If you ever want to know how to say fuck you in french, well don't say you never learned how to.

Followed by another book graphic appearing before us with Chapter 8 "Shall We Play?"

Emma returns to the hospital where Sebastien's wife is about to give birth. What is supposed to be a joyous occassion quickly turns to shit. As the doctor is bracing for the birth of the child, Instead of seeing the head, there is a human sized black arms reach out and grabs her legs as its pushing itself out. then he pops out.

Fucking jolly hell it was all just a bad dream.

Emma gets the phone call that uh...the wife is indeed in labor and to get there STAT! As soon as she gets there she is determined to warn Seby about the impending doom but Aurore and Arnaud hold her back and assure her everything is going to be fine.

Sike.

Everything is fucking fine. Baby is delivered and everyone is happy happy joy joy.

Inspector sits in his car along with the forbidden libro and proceeds to read through the Molitor Report regarding the trials of Marianne Basselin.

In her early life she was the sole survivor of a house fire. Everyone in her family perished except for Marianne and her cat, Mathurin on her 7th birthday. She is raised by Sisters of the Sacred Court and over the next 2 years it is plagued with that is, except for you guessed it, Marianne and cat. She married a man named Paul Marot when she turned 16 and bore a child. The baby boy died in an unfortunate accident when the flames overtook his cradle when he was 3 months old. They end up having 2 more children.  She took her kids out to the woods to play only for her to be the only one to return home. She slit Paul's throat. Legend tells, according to the Molitor Report, that Marianne wed Beleth aka the king of cats, before the devil. A witness swears that he saw the fires of hell dance along the walls.

Skipping ahead to her capture, Marianne swears to the world that she vows to capture all their children and their children's children.

"You can believe Marianne. She never leaves empty handed."

Still at the hospital, why not check in on dad and Camille? This is when Aurore comes in and mention's a girl named Lucie whom held significance to them both that died 15 years ago that Emma was connected to her death. She tells Emma of a soothing memory to help her feel better. How sweet. Nothing major in plot points, I just wanted to get that out there.

It is now night time where Emma is trying to sleep when she gets awoken by her named being yelled out. To her horror she sees in the a demonic figure step out through the wardrobe via the reflection of the mirror. She keeps looking back at the wardrobe but nothing's there. She keeps snapping her head back at the mirror when it says otherwise. Right when she sees the nothing in the mirror she swivels back to the wardrobe FUCKING SHITTING HELL THERE SHE IS!

There is a hallucination where Marianne is heard saying "You're not writing. Let's play."

Here is overseeing Tonio working graveyard shifts by the dock when she hears wet footsteps. He turns around and sees nothing but the footsteps are getting heavier and heavier. Getting the heebie jeebies, he walks back but Marianne is seen reaching for him.

Aurore wakes up next to hearing "NANA!!!" In a Lucie's voice and she herself has hallucinations of Lucie. She looks under the bed and holy shit balls.

Over at the hospital there is a woman overlooking the camera's when mysteriously all the cameras turn black. She hears a baby crying so Seby and nurse head over. Only to be met with no baby and a little souvenoir left behind under the blankets.

Episode 5 is next.
