Episode 3 "Choosing Day"

In Colony House, there is an unexpected sex scene, not really just a small snippet of a topless woman riding a dude. Yeah, not a show to watch with the kids. 

The car crash passenger high AF dude finally becomes conscious and is not too happy coming to with his arms strapped in like a crazy person so he YELLS for help. A panicked Donna rushes in the room to shush him. Although he seems a lot more normal now but he was probably more tolerable when he was high because he pulls the "Do you know who I am?" card. 

"Ugh you're one of those. Welp, lets get this conversation out of the way then." And she starts the same 'ol song and dance to get him up to date about the monsters.

Boyd wakes up first thing in the morning and heads on over to the locked up Frank and tells him what is about to happen to him tonight isn't personal and asks him if there is any lose ends he would like to tie up he should do it now.

Donna and car crash passenger guy are sitting at the table in the kitchen and this dude is clearly not buying this story one bit. In his mind, everyone is simply trolling him thinking he's on candid camera or some shit. He thinks his friend, Toby, set up this elaborate prank on him so he starts to run out of the house and prance around town. OMG this dude is just so self absorbed and delusional and ends up stealing a woman's bike thinking that this was his next step in what he thinks is an escape room...but town. Escape town? What a dumb fuck.

Kenny is at the diner where his mom, Tian Chen, works at and in the midst of their conversation, she cuts herself on broken glass. The murder girl strolls on in and tries to help clean up the mess. Not sure if this is a good thing. And yeah, turns out she works there too.

Julie steps outside of the house for some fresh air where Fatima joins her and it looks like they are becoming fast friends.

Jim comes back to Colony House, where they are temporarily staying at, bringing back some of their belongings he retrieved from the RV and disperses it back out to the fam. He tries to make Ethan laugh by being a big goof. It was just too weird to not put the following pic on here. He tries it on Julie but her teenager self just rolls her eyes.

Donna comes in the room and tells the family that Father Kahtri needs to have a talk with them. Since the family is new to this morbid town, they are to take part in a choosing ceremony to decide if they want to stay there referred as Colony House or Town where they will be assigned a house. They have to take a tour around the town to determine their choosing.

The delusional individual passenger barges in the diner and thinking they are all paid actors. He acts really obnoxious to everyone and they are all instantly annoyed with this fuck ass. He seems to only take it seriously when Tian Chen yells at him in Chinese does he calm his shit down.

As Father Kahtri walks Jim and Tabitha around town, he explains to them the conditions they should be expected to follow should they choose to stay in Town. Such as nailing the windows shut every night, mandatory if you have kids (and they do!). 

He then shows them THE BOX which is a form of punishment to ones who do not follow their set of rules. They are to be put in the box for 1 night and NO TALISMANS. So you definitely do not want to break their rules.

He proceeds to show them where they will live from this point forward should they choose Town. Jim makes a comments and says it looks like people are already living here. Father Kahtri discloses about the incident that literally just happened (the mother and daughter slaughter), He leads them to the daughter's room with the blood still on the walls. "This is what happens when you break the rules."

Tabitha got overwhelmed so she stormed out of the house. Jim assures her that this is indeed real because of that previous night in the RV. He says those sounds still haunt him so he absolutely believes everything everyone is telling them about the monsters and being stuck in a town that refuses to let you leave. (I guess we'll find out about that choosing ceremony then, eh?)

Ellis makes a makeshift crutch for Ethan. So nice of him.

Kenny is sitting with Mr. Delusional at the diner as he still thinks that it's a game...like an escape room...or escape town lol. So he's convinced that there is a HINT or clue to lead him to the next "stage". Kenny tries to nudge him in the right direction but man, he's dealing with a naive dude. He gleefully leaves to find his next clue. Kristi comes in as he leaves and takes his seat for a quick chat. Ooh now this is a first, they hold hands so they are a couple? How cute!!!!! (No, they are not)

Ethan sees an old man. He looks a little eccentric but Fatima has said to Julie that he's harmless. It's so adorable that Ethan is asking this old dude if he needs help looking for something. All he says is that he is checking to see if the trees had moved. Whatever that means. The man starts babbling about if he gets caught, he'll get blamed and keeps trying to shoo the kid away. Ethan can't comprehend his dismissal but makes a small comment asking if he sees the boy out there too. This is when the man perks up and says "If you see him again, tell him Victor says hello." So the old man's name is Victor now. Julie finds her little brother and beckons him over to forbid him from talking to him because he's so "creepy". Ethan don't curr.

Air head dude continues to ride the stolen bike and approaches an abandoned underground shed. He goes into it and it has such an eerie presence to it (redundant, I know). He opens a door and sees a severely decomposed body that gives him a jump scare. Instead of shitting his pants, he thinks that this a genius game of effects and praises his (yet to be known) murdered friend, Toby.

Boyd is at the church and he rants that he built "the box" to be a deterrant but didn't expect to actually USE it. So he is at a crossroads with what to do with Frank. Father Kahti explains to him what kind of example he would send to the residents should he not go through with it? Boyd is taken aback that this so-called man of the lord condoning sending a man to an excruciating death.

Boyd's conscience is weighing heavily on him so ends up going to Frank and tossing him the very talisman that was in his house that was supposed to protect his late wife and daughter. He is giving him a shot at surviving. Say what, now? 

The whole town's peeps are at the choosing ceremony now. Just as quickly as it began, Frank interrupts with the talisman in his hands and requests to say a few words. He shows his extreme guilt while reminiscing the happy life he had with his family. He tells everyone to look after each other and returns the talisman to Boyd proclaiming he doesn't deserve the help.

Goofball shit ass crashes the ceremony and rudely interrupts by being a belligerant butthole patronizing Frank's moving words still believing Frank and everyone else to be paid actors. Boyd snaps and charges at him. Boyd manhandles him to the altar to pick a stone he don't give a fuck just pick one. Turns out to be symbolized as Town. Still believing to be an act he pulls the "I will straight SUE YOU." card and stomps off.

Kenny tags right behind him to help the poor bastard out. Good luck.

Boyd takes the stones and asks Jim if he wants to stay in the Town or the Colony House. All the members have to say it. Everyone says Town except Julie. She chooses to be in the Colony House and mother and father go ballistic! Tabitha yells with an accent lol The inner angry latina is unleashed lolz. (The actress is Columbian)

There's nothing that can be done. Family is now officially split. 

Kenny then escorts the fuck ass, (I just like to find news ways to describe him for this episode) to a gravesite and this is when it finally starts to dawn on him that it may be more serious when he is finally shown the dead body of his friend, Toby. The sad reality is finally sinking in.

The sun is now setting. It is time. Frank is ready to accept his fate as Boyd is escorting him to the dreaded box. Locked and ready to go. Everyone proceeds to head on home as night is fast approaching.

A sad song plays while Jim, Tabitha and Ethan move into their new home. Tabitha tucks Ethan to bed as Jim comes in the room to read his him a bed time story.

Kenny brings the now distraught dude to his home to spend the night. He finally has a name. He introduces his mother to this man named Jade. 

Colony welcomes Julie. Hoorah.

And Boyd feeling guilt upon looking at the box where Frank will meet his fate.

Frank is quivering with fear as he starts to hear the chattering voices of the monsters. He sits down on the ground awaiting his unfortunate fate. He ded now.
