Hitchcock Presents S1E2

Episode 2 "Premonition"

A man named Kim is narrating saying he had a sudden urge to fly home to the much unexpected surprise of a handful of people. Everything was exactly how he left it. He says it's been 4 years and has since returned home from Paris. He ran into his father in law on the streets and inquires on what compelled him to return he just answered that he just...felt homesick. While continuing the stroll with this family friend, even though he came here to reunite with his father, he asks if he still hates him. In his own words, he didn't actually follow in his dad's view of what he wanted him to be and it looked like he never wanted to keep in contact since he never replied to any of the letters he went to him over the years. The family friend assures him his father loves his dearly.

Off he is to see the fam. Not before this old guy cautions him that just springing up out of nowhere wasn't exactly a good idea for him and his family over the simple reasoning is that they didn't prepare to make the extravagant arrangements to give him the warm welcomeing festive party (ish?) he deserves. He still tries to lead him elsewhere but Kim is adamant on just going home despite his misgivings.

He reaches the house but he can't shake the feeling of something being wrong  as he has mentioned that he felt that same sense of dread even when he was in Paris. He is determined that this very feeling is why he feels justified in going home.

In what he thought was an empty house the first thing Kim notices is the portrait of his father. The memories all start coming back to him all those happy childhood memories. He reaches for a gun that he takes a gander at. His gun.

Then he goes to play at the piano just like old times  when he hears someone walk in the house. He continues to play in order to get her attention. Susan, is the lady's name and is his sister in law. She follows in the steps of her father asking why he is even there, but in a more polite tone. He rants to Susan and he wants to make good with his father again but Susan assures him that he does but...WTF hasn't he answered any letters then? He grows more and more agitated.

He noticed that there is dust on the guns and his father would never stand for it. SHENANIGANS says he! He asks where his brother right as he walks on in. Da bro breaks the news to him that he died of a heart attack on a tennis court exactly 4 years ago when he was in Rome. He says he didn't want to tell him he died so he wouldn't have any guilt knowing the fallout they had. Bro admits the mistake but Kim just won't stand for it. He is still skeptical as he mentions that he only got life insurance about a year before he died so...what even?

He storms out when he finds out that his dad left everything to his brother.

The brother sends his wife Susan upstairs where Kim is standing there brooding. He expresses immediate remorse for the outburst. He reels while the simplest things in his room triggers one memory or another. He finds a hunting license that was dated October 11th only then does he find it totes off since his brother told him he died on a tennis court on October 10th! Dun dun DUNNNNNN!

Kim goes to bang on Doug's door to question him on the inconsistency. He seems to have it all together and eerily yet calmly explains away the would'ves could'ves. Doug is the family lawyer so he tells him to chill and that nobody killed him. He died on the tennis court just like he's been told.

Unphased, he goes off to see yet another man. The funeral director I guess. He goes to ask questions like was his casket open or closed, what does the birth certificate say? Gimme the key to the crypt where he is buried??

He has a scuffle about the guy. This where where the balding fat man confesses that he never even saw the body and there isn't even a body IN THE GRAVE and that he was only following orders. But his brother walks in right when this little birdy is singing.

Brother changes his mind and now decides to welcome his brother back into his home. He tells him to fuck off in his own 1950's way.

He then goes to have a chat with the grounds keeper. He shakes him up for more information in which he finds the location.

Kim makes the venture 10+ miles into a house where he attempts to investigate further.

Susan catches up to him and pleads with him to stop his shit and that he never went to Paris. The "Paris" he claims to have traveled from was all in his head and he was a patient in a hospital in Arizona. WHAT THE FUCK.

Yes, she says. He believed it because he wanted to and was never discharged. He is a lil runaway, infact. He was the one who murdered him this whole time. They all covered it up and bribed everyone involved to make it look like a natural death. They felt to do as was necessary. Well, he didn't murder him but it was a hunting accident by his hands.

But....it was premonition bros.
