Freddy's Nightmares S1E2
Episode 2 "It's a Miserable Life"
Opening up in front of a Beefy Boy Burger restarant joint sits a young man who works there while listening to the radio. Traffic is pretty dedz so he's just lollygagging around the empty store trying to entertain himself.
A customer pulls up to the drive through and sees him talking to himself like a little kid. The group of teens make their presence known and mock him.
After they take off, he continues just staring into the void through the drive thru window and daydreams of what you would think a typical teenager boy would daydream of who he would want to breeze on by his work.
His pappy interrupts his happy time and says he's taking off for the night and he's in charge for the graveyard shift. You guessed right, his dad is the manager. Anyway, son protests but there's really nothing much he can do about it and pap smear strolls out of there leaving the restaurant to his kiddo.
So he calls up his girl who is sweet enough to drop by his work so he won't be a lonely bean.
While he's waiting, a DING signifying a new customer at the drive thru but when he tries to take the order he hears a mysterious man threatening him personally so he's all WTF DUDE!! He looks outside and sees a gnarly dude revving his bike but upon a double glance, there's nothing. Must be his imagination or something.
His girl arrives.
But he sees him again but this time he takes out his gun points and shoots at him with a menacing look to his face. but there he goes hallucinating again!
His girl, Karyn, lets herself in and wakes his ass up and he says he don't give a rats butt what his dad says, he's dipping out and away they go.
The next morning now and she drops him off and home but starts to hallucinate again with a bunch of random people chanting: "Springwood needs you, Bryan".
He gets a glass of water but to his horror, it starts to drip red in there. SIKE another hallucination. Just how many hallucinations does one guy get?!
He turned on the radio which is act a bit wonky and Freddy's voice is heard on the radio saying "give me everything you've got" He runs out to the kitchen and sees his mom standing there motionless where she gives him shit for leaving the family business but in a split second, she turns right around with a bright smile on her.
Things turn cartoonishly cheesy as if he's in a sitcom because now we are now accompanied with a corny sitcom music and even a laugh track.
The mother is disturbingly happy now and says these weird out of context sayings. She comes up to him and gives him a big wet one...on the lips!!! Ewwww.
He runs to another room and finds himself at Beefy Boy all over again and sees his buddy strolling through the drive through with Karyn in his lap saying hurtful things.
Yo! it was all a fucked up dream!
Upon waking up in his room, he sees blood in his hands.
He now heads down to the kitchen, in real life this time. His dad is sitting on the table being a negative nelly and his mom serving them breakfast.
"Don't count your burgers before they are on the bun, son."
Dad takes son's University acceptance letters and fries it on the stove and he's like DAFUQ?! That's my future. Dad says naw man this is your future and the visual automatically changes to burgers.
He gets out of the kitchen and curled up in the corner in his room, he tries to call Karyn to pick him up.
He goes back into the kitchen where he verbally struggles with his parents once more and he sees more wild and weird imagery from his dad trying to ignite a lighter in the gas oven to opening the fridge to his mom wailing in the fridge.
WAKES UP AGAIN
His girlfriend is already is in his room. All he can muster is "They keep sending me back. I try and try but they keep sending me back."
Karyn replies that this is where he belongs and he should go back. She disappears. He feels his forehead and more blood.
Back at Beefy Boy he sees the same menacing guy on the bike. He strolls up to the window and shoots the kid. All that's echoing is his quote from the beginning of the movie "I'll die here."
Turns out that this is real because he does end up being shot. He also shot Karyn just as she arrived at the front door.
Police and ambulance arrive on scene. Ending scene has a yearbook picture of him with the caption underneath "Leaving Springwood."
2ND SEGMENT
A nurse is seen paramedics rushing in the ER with Karyn in the stretcher. Springwood Mercy Hospital.
So who's working on the backup generator. Who keeps fucking up the power?? Why it's--
Karyn is still conscious and tries to plea to be let go but she's already in the surgery room. She passes out from the gas.
She has a nightmare of her own when she sees a dimly lit surgical room where the Doctor is saying the bullet did more damage than they though so they have to do more thorough incisions.
Doctor says to put her back under but the next time she comes too she sees more weird imagery.
She keeps drifting in and out of consciousness with all these wack ass hallucinations and imagery from the staff while the doctor is adamant that she needs to be kept under. She also is starting to see the same mysterious stranger who shot her.
They end up removing part of her cranium which looks comical as fuck. Mysterious dude walks up and points a gun at all.
She awakens yet again post op to the nurse yelling in her ear but mistakens her for another patient with a hearing impairment. She still wants to go home but the nurse says she isn't authorized to leave. Right in hte middle of their conversation, she just BOOP disppears into thin air.
Karyn proceeds to see more non stop nightmare inducing imagery. The doctor materializes before him and she asks where Bryan is. Doctor says that her parents would be here soon and the slightest reaction from her triggers the doctor to administer some kind of stabilizer where you guessed it, she goes under.
Reawakened, Nurse strolls back in an reassures her she is fine despite her protests.
She still keeps sees the mysterious man slowly walking the halls and maintaining eye contact with her while he's rolling an elderly patient but to his horror, the old man is now HERSELF in the wheelchair. Her doppleganger has a mischieverous smile on her face.
She finally sees Bryan but it's not HER Bryan. He says they can be like Romeo and Juliet. But they died. Yeah, they sure did he replies back.
Back in the menacing surgery room, more weird shit happens and doctor sews her mouth shut like with wires and shit.
She wakes up yet again, happy to see her mouth fully functional again she looks walks to the bed next to her but the nurse brings her back to the bed.
She is getting wheeled away but she hops out but everywhere around there is all smokey and shit. She proceeds to walk into a room where they keep dead people and sees Bryan with a shotgun. The mysterious man comes up behind her and whisks her away. She's crying the entire way over to the limb department. There's a doctor chopping some body parts and wants to embrace her with open arms.
She yeets out of there and runs for her life down the dark hallways only to be met with the same mysterious man on his bike who then shoots her.
WAKING UP AGAIN but it looks like it's for real this time. The doctor and nurse ask how she's doing. Karyn asks about Bryan but the news gets broken to her that he was pronounced dead on the scene.
The doctor said that her parents are finally here but she finally reveals that her parents actually died in a car accident years ago, She starts freaking the fuck out and the doctors keep saying that she's hallucinating and that they are the only ones there. The camera zooms out as she is looking towards that empty spot in despair.
