Erased S1E2

Now: Episode 2

This episode opens up with little Sotoru slowly but surely walking into his 5th grade class where teacher takes attendance and noticed Kayo is absent. Satoru's inner monologue is like WTF why did I get a revival 18 years in the past this time?! Never went this far! So he just runs out of class and straight to home to his mommy. Running past Kayo along the way.

He finds a spare key and let's himself on in. He's bewildered still and just taking in his childhood home and he gets to live it out. Just one more time. After a little nap he wakes up to his mom cooking some dinner. Extremely happy and content considering his mom was murdered prior to his revival, he is literally having tears running down his face happy to see her again. 🥲

The next day, this little fucker finally decides to go to school today thinking maybe he can find a way to save his mom but once Kayo sits down he has another thought. Was he here to prevent Kayo's murder? As he looks at her, he notices bruise's that she was trying to conceal. His friends notice and friendly tease him that he has a crush on her but needless to say, they try to set him up with her.

"You stupid or something?" Kayo responds over a bridge on the walk home.

"Eh, is that really the first thing you say?" Lol

He then tries to befriend her but to no avail. She has a big ass wall up.

He later meets up with a friend, Kenya who then confesses that he feels that whatever he is doing he feels like he should help him somehow and should he need a friend, he's like there for him, ya know? Cool. He nudges him to read an essay she recently wrote.

It was a cry for help. Kayo wrote about wanting to go on an island with no sadness or pain. An island where there are no adults even children where she can just be alone in her thoughts able to sleep whenever she wants.

He tries again to befriend her but she calls him out saying he isn't genuine and is indeed a fake ass. Before he's on his way out, he hands her a birthday party invitation in which she warmly receives albeit hesitantly. She's still quite standoffish but he's starting to break down her walls little by little with his humor.

After she takes off,. Satoru has another inner monologue trying to deduce when Kayo's murder happens. She's still 10 with a birthday coming up but in the original timelime March was when the incident occured and she never lived to her 11th birthday so now he has to find out when her birthday is and go from there. He does a little Intel. By that I mean not much at all he just asks his teacher, Mr. Yashiro who happily tells him:

So now that he knows, he surmises March 1st is the day she will be 💀 He calls this Day X which means about 10 days from now. He has a lot of work to do.

He heads on over to her house to no answer. Satoru looks through the windows but as he's looking, he finds Kayo's gloves and school materials all strewn about on the snow just outside. He ends up finding a hidden room in a toolshed with a bruised up Kayo in nothing but a nightgown. Kayo's mother calmly takes over and leads her back in the house. Satoru asks how Kayo got all these bruises over her entire body but the mother gives a very stern look at Kayo as if she rehearsed this before for her to say

"I tripped."

Not buying that shit he looks shockingly as they both go inside and he's putting pieces of the puzzle together of what goes on behind closed doors. Concluding this episode.

Episode 3 is next.
