Tales From the Crypt S1E1

I grew up on Tales from the Crypt! It is my pleasure to go through this series again. It's been many years since I've seen majority of these episodes. I have many favorites to tell ya a long the way so what a perfect way to kick start my blog than with this series so sit right and in the words of Scar: BE PREPARED!!DUH.

"The Man Who Was Death"

This episode opens up with a man who is to be executed. Like, right now. The man whose job is to carry out the electrocution has this constant inner monologue how he enjoys what he does. He shows no sympathy whatsoever to this man as this man shot and killed 3 people in a drunken rage. No matter how much the inmate is panicking and screeching upon his impending demise without much hesitation he carries it out and our boi is declared dead.

Our main character is breaking the 4th wall and talking to the camera (you!) With glee, he says he always loved electricity and basically is such a great fit for being an eletrocutioner as he has been for 12 years.

As they say, what goes up must come down. Due to the recent eletrocution of said inmate, there is now controversy that is now banning the death penalty. They say it will be not deterrent to crime as it is still in the rise plus the overcrowding prisons...So just not kill the criminals amirite? Our guy here is fresh out of the job and so he's like WTF but that's just the way it is and handles being let go very civil.

Drinking dem sorrows away.

We are then next shown a case in court that due to a technicality a judge has set a killer free much to the great discontent of most in attendance. The prosecutor exclaiming that it's a travesty of justice even. Yeah even though the foul mouth biker looking mofo acting all smug in front of the grieving family. Hmmmm guess who is also in attendance and sparks up an idea?

Shocking comeuppance.

2 defendants whom are acquitted of murder of a man's wife?

Electrical bad romanced.

Stripper let go after being accused of murder?

Caged justice.

Ummmm NOT!

Shocker happy Mr. Talbot got himself in too deep that he got busted by the coppers! With a swift yet ironic progression of events, the death penalty got reinstated. Things have now come full circle now that the blubbering mess that he previously turned a blind eye to has now become that exact blubbering mess as he is escorted to the electric chair to his death.

If ya like, here's episode 2!
